Double Life (theory)
The Double Life theory suggests that an individual may lead two separate, distinct identities or personas—often publicly and privately—without their awareness or conscious control. This concept is common in psychological contexts, such as dissociative identity disorder, where different identities coexist within one person, or in secret behaviors that contrast with their outward life. It highlights how complex human consciousness can be, and how some individuals compartmentalize aspects of their identity, sometimes unaware of the full extent of their own behaviors or thoughts across these different "lives."
