Double crochet

Double crochet is a common knitting stitch that creates a taller, more open fabric compared to other stitches. To make a double crochet, you start by yarn over (wrap the yarn around your hook), then insert the hook into the next stitch. You pull the yarn through, leaving three loops on the hook. Yarn over again and pull through the first two loops, leaving two loops on the hook. Yarn over once more and pull through the remaining two loops. This process results in a structured, textured stitch that is useful for creating blankets, scarves, and other projects.
