Dose-dense AC regimen

The dose-dense AC regimen is a cancer treatment approach that administers chemotherapy drugs—specifically doxorubicin (A) and cyclophosphamide (C)—more frequently than standard schedules, typically every two weeks instead of every three or four. This approach aims to deliver the treatment more intensively to minimize the chances of cancer cells regrowing between sessions. To support this increased frequency, patients often receive additional medications, like growth factors, to help recover blood counts. The goal is to improve the effectiveness of treatment and increase the likelihood of preventing cancer recurrence.
