Dorsal and Ventral Streams
The dorsal and ventral streams are two pathways in our brain that help us interpret visual information. The ventral stream, often called the "what" pathway, helps us recognize objects, colors, and faces—it's involved in identifying what we see. The dorsal stream, known as the "where" or "how" pathway, guides us in understanding the position and movement of objects, helping us interact with our environment. Together, these streams work seamlessly to enable us to recognize objects and navigate the world effectively.
