Dorics

Doric, also known as Dorian, refers to an ancient Greek musical mode and a style of classical architecture. In music, the Doric mode is a specific scale pattern used in melodies and compositions, characterized by a certain sequence of whole and half steps that evoke a particular sound or mood. Architecturally, the Doric order is one of the three classical styles, marked by sturdy columns with plain capitals and a simple, robust appearance. Both terms highlight a sense of strength and simplicity, with Doric music creating a grounded feel and Doric architecture emphasizing solidity and functionality.
