Dongson culture
The Đông Sơn culture was a Bronze Age civilization in northern Vietnam that thrived around 700 BCE to 1 CE. It is renowned for its advanced metalworking skills, especially its intricate bronze drums decorated with detailed motifs that likely held cultural and religious significance. The culture also produced sophisticated pottery, weapons, and ornaments, reflecting a complex society with social hierarchies and trading networks. Archaeological finds suggest they engaged in farming, fishing, and crafts, contributing significantly to Vietnam’s early history and cultural heritage.
