Donders' method
Donders' method is a way to measure how long the brain takes to process information. It compares the time it takes for a person to react in different situations. For example, in a simple task where they just press a button when they see a light, reaction time includes both perceiving the light and responding. In a more complex task, like choosing a specific button based on the light’s color, reaction time also includes decision-making. By subtracting the simple reaction time from the complex one, Donders' method estimates the duration of the mental process, like thinking or deciding.
