Donabedian Model of Quality
The Donabedian Model of Quality helps us evaluate healthcare by looking at three key areas: structure, which includes facilities and staff; process, meaning how care is delivered; and outcomes, the results for patients’ health. Good healthcare quality depends on well-trained staff and proper resources (structure), effective, respectful care practices (process), and positive health results (outcomes). By examining these areas, we can identify strengths and areas for improvement to ensure patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care.
