Domotherium
Domotherium is an extinct genus of mammals that lived in North Africa during the late Eocene to early Miocene periods, approximately 35 to 20 million years ago. It belonged to a group called creodonts, which were small carnivorous mammals that predate many modern carnivores. Domotherium likely resembled a small, carnivorous mammal with sharp teeth for hunting and eating other small animals. Its fossils help scientists understand the evolution of early carnivorous mammals and the diversity of prehistoric ecosystems in Africa.
