Dominantly Narratives

Dominant narratives are the widely accepted stories or beliefs that shape how people understand and interpret events, identities, or issues within a society. They establish the "official" version of reality, influencing public opinions and policies. These narratives often reflect the perspectives of those in power and can marginalize alternative viewpoints. While they help create social cohesion, they may also oversimplify complex realities or perpetuate stereotypes. Recognizing dominant narratives allows us to critically examine whose voices are prioritized and whether these stories accurately represent diverse experiences or perspectives.
