Dogri language
Dogri is a Indo-Aryan language primarily spoken in the northern Indian region of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in Jammu. It has a rich literary tradition, including poetry and folk songs. Written in both Devanagari and Perso-Arabic scripts, Dogri reflects the cultural heritage of its speakers. Recognized officially in India and part of the Western Pahari language group, it has around 2.6 million speakers. Dogri's vocabulary and pronunciation are distinct, but it shares similarities with neighboring languages like Hindi and Punjabi. It plays a vital role in preserving regional identity and cultural expression.
