Dog Nose
A dog's nose is a highly specialized, sensitive organ that allows them to detect and interpret smells with remarkable accuracy. It is covered in a moist, textured surface called the nasal mucosa, which contains millions of olfactory receptors—far more than humans have—enabling dogs to distinguish thousands of scents simultaneously. The structure includes a complex labyrinth of air passages that help trap scent particles. Dogs also have an extraordinary brain region dedicated to processing smell, which makes their sense of smell vital for communication, hunting, tracking, and identifying people or objects.
