DNS-SD

DNS Service Discovery (DNS-SD) is a technology that allows devices on a network to find and connect to services automatically. It uses the Domain Name System (DNS), which assigns names to devices and services, making it easier for computers, printers, and other equipment to locate each other without manual configuration. For example, a smartphone can discover a nearby printer or a streaming device can be found by a media app seamlessly. DNS-SD simplifies network setup and enhances interoperability by enabling dynamic, automatic detection and setup of services across different devices.
