DNI (Director of National Intelligence)

The Director of National Intelligence (DNI) is the government official responsible for overseeing and coordinating the entire U.S. intelligence community. This includes agencies like the CIA, FBI, NSA, and others involved in gathering and analyzing intelligence. The DNI ensures that these agencies work together effectively to provide accurate, timely information to protect national security. Appointed by the President, the DNI reports to the President and Congress, serving as their primary source of intelligence assessments and policy advice. Essentially, the DNI acts as the central leader and integrator of the nation’s intelligence efforts.
