Djungan
Djungan refers to an Indigenous Australian language spoken by the Djungan people in the northern region of Queensland. It is part of the broader Pama–Nyungan language family, which includes many Aboriginal languages across Australia. The language plays a vital role in cultural identity, storytelling, and preserving traditional knowledge. Although it is considered endangered with only a small number of speakers remaining, efforts are underway to revive and maintain Djungan through community programs and language education initiatives, ensuring the language's rich cultural heritage continues for future generations.
