Divorce in Judaism
In Judaism, divorce is considered a legitimate way to end a marriage when reconciliation isn't possible. It involves a formal process called a "get," a written document exchanged between spouses, which must be granted willingly by both. The husband traditionally initiates the divorce, but both parties agree to it. Once the "get" is given and received, the marriage is legally dissolved according to Jewish law (Halacha). Divorce allows individuals to remarry within the faith, and Jewish law emphasizes fairness and compassion throughout the process.
