Divisions

Division is a mathematical operation that splits a number into equal parts. It answers the question, "How many groups of a certain size can be made?" For example, dividing 12 by 4 asks how many groups of 4 fit into 12, which is 3. Essentially, division helps distribute or partition quantities evenly, or find out how many units of one value are contained within another. It's the inverse of multiplication and is fundamental for solving problems involving sharing, grouping, and analyzing portions of a whole.
