Diversity Visa Program

The Diversity Visa Program (DV Program) is a U.S. government initiative designed to promote immigration from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States. Each year, it randomly selects applicants through a lottery to receive a visa, allowing them to apply for permanent residency. The aim is to diversify the U.S. immigrant population by offering opportunities to people from regions that are underrepresented in the country's immigrant demographics, such as Europe, Africa, and Asia. Applicants must meet certain eligibility criteria and complete an application during the registration period.
