Divergent Series

A divergent series is an infinite sum of numbers where the total does not settle to a finite value but instead keeps growing or oscillating without end. Unlike convergent series, which approach a specific sum as more terms are added, divergent series do not settle down. They often appear in advanced mathematics and physics, especially in contexts like quantum theories or summing processes, where special techniques are used to assign useful meanings to these infinite sums despite their divergence.
