Distilling Process

Distilling is a separation process where a mixture is heated to turn some components into vapor, which is then cooled back into liquid. Because different substances have different boiling points, this method allows for the individual components to be isolated. It’s commonly used to produce spirits like whiskey, where water, alcohol, and other compounds are separated, or in refining petroleum into fuels. The key is controlling temperature carefully so that only specific ingredients vaporize, enabling their collection separately, resulting in a purer form of the desired substance.
