Distance measuring
Distance measuring is the process of determining how far one object is from another. This can be done using various methods, such as signals like radio waves, light, or sound, which travel at known speeds. For example, radar bounces radio waves off a target and measures the time it takes for the signal to return, calculating distance based on the wave’s speed. Similarly, laser distance meters send out a laser pulse and measure the time it takes to reflect back. These techniques convert time and speed into an accurate measurement of distance, enabling precise mapping and navigation.
