Display Stream Compression

Display Stream Compression (DSC) is a technology that efficiently reduces the amount of data sent from a computer or device to a display, like a monitor or TV, without sacrificing image quality. By compressing the video stream, DSC allows higher-resolution images and faster refresh rates to be transmitted over the same cables and connections, such as HDMI or DisplayPort. This results in sharper, smoother visuals with less lag, enabling better performance for high-definition gaming, professional graphics, and immersive experiences—all while using existing hardware capabilities.
