Disfellowshipping

Disfellowshipping is a disciplinary measure used by some religious groups, notably Jehovah's Witnesses, to address serious misconduct or violations of their beliefs. It involves formally separating the individual from the community, including social interaction and participation in religious activities, as a way to encourage repentance and maintain spiritual integrity. The person is often considered to be temporarily or permanently excluded until they demonstrate remorse and a change of conduct.
