Dipole-Dipole Method

The Dipole-Dipole Method is a way to predict how strongly two polar molecules attract each other. Polar molecules have an uneven distribution of electric charge, creating a positive end and a negative end. When these molecules are close, their positive and negative areas interact, resulting in attraction. The method considers the strength of these partial charges and how they align. Stronger dipoles (more uneven charge distribution) lead to stronger attractions. This concept helps explain why certain substances have higher boiling points or are more soluble, based on how their molecules interact through these dipole forces.
