Digital zoom
Digital zoom is a feature in cameras and smartphones that enlarges a part of the image digitally, similar to cropping and then enlarging that section. Unlike optical zoom, which uses lenses to magnify the scene without quality loss, digital zoom simply enlarges pixels, which can make the image appear less sharp and more pixelated. Essentially, digital zoom reduces the field of view, giving the impression of closer proximity, but it doesn't improve resolution. It's useful for getting a closer look when optical zoom isn't available, though it may compromise image clarity.
