Digital Light Processing (DLP)

Digital Light Processing (DLP) is a technology used in projectors and some display devices that creates images by projecting tiny, precisely controlled spots of light. It uses a chip called a Digital Micromirror Device (DMD), which has thousands of microscopic mirrors. These mirrors tilt rapidly to reflect light toward or away from the screen, forming bright images. Colors are produced by adding color filters or LEDs. DLP offers sharp, smooth images and is commonly used in movie projectors, business presentations, and high-quality home theaters because of its brightness, clarity, and reliability.
