Digambaras

Digambaras are a branch of Jainism, an ancient Indian religion emphasizing non-violence and spiritual purity. They believe in strict asceticism, with monks traditionally remaining nude to symbolize their renunciation of worldly attachments. Digambaras hold that women must be reborn as men to attain liberation and reject certain Jain scriptures followed by other sects. They emphasize the importance of self-discipline, non-possessiveness, and reverence for all life. Their practices and beliefs distinctly prioritize spiritual purity over material comfort, aiming for liberation (moksha) through ethical living, right knowledge, and self-control.
