Diffusion Process

A diffusion process is the natural movement of particles from an area of higher concentration to an area of lower concentration, driven by random motion. Think of how perfume spreads in a room or ink disperses in water: over time, particles evenly distribute themselves, creating a uniform mixture. This process occurs due to the basic tendency of particles to move and disperse, seeking equilibrium. Diffusion is essential in many natural and industrial systems, including how our bodies exchange gases in lungs or how nutrients spread in ecosystems. It’s a fundamental mechanism of mixing and distribution in fluids and gases.
