In electrodynamics, conductors are materials that allow electricity to flow freely, such as metals. Electrons in conductors can move easily, enabling electrical current. In contrast, dielectrics are insulators that do not conduct electricity well, like rubber or glass. They can store electrical energy when placed in an electric field, becoming polarized without conducting current. This property makes dielectrics useful in capacitors and other electronic components. Essentially, conductors facilitate electricity while dielectrics manage and store electrical energy, both playing crucial roles in how electrical systems operate.
