Diego León Montoya

Diego León Montoya was a Colombian drug trafficker and leader of the Norte del Valle Cartel, one of the most powerful drug organizations in Colombia during the 1990s and early 2000s. He was responsible for coordinating large-scale cocaine trafficking into the United States and other countries, contributing significantly to global drug trade violence and corruption. Montoya was known for his ability to evade law enforcement for years. In 2007, he was captured and later extradited to the U.S., where he faced drug trafficking charges. His arrest marked a major blow to the Colombian drug cartel operations.
