Diego Columbus

Diego Columbus was the son of the famous explorer Christopher Columbus. Born around 1479 in Spain, he became an important colonial administrator for Spain. After his father’s voyages, Diego helped manage Spain’s interests in the New World, particularly in the Caribbean and parts of Central America. He served as a governor and was involved in efforts to organize settlements and trade. His role was key in establishing Spanish control over new territories during the early Age of Exploration, shaping the history of the Americas.
