Dialysis catheters

Dialysis catheters are special tubes inserted into a blood vessel to provide temporary or long-term access for dialysis treatment, which filters waste and excess fluids from the blood when the kidneys can’t do so effectively. These catheters have two channels: one to draw blood out for cleaning and another to return the cleaned blood back to the body. They’re typically used in emergencies, during certain treatments, or for patients awaiting permanent access. Proper placement and maintenance are essential to prevent infections and ensure effective dialysis.
