DGSE

DGSE, or Direction Générale de la Sécurité Extérieure, is France's external intelligence agency. Its main role is to gather information, assess threats, and carry out covert operations outside France to protect national security. This includes monitoring foreign governments, groups, or individuals that could impact France’s safety or interests. DGSE works discreetly, using spies and surveillance, similar to other countries’ intelligence agencies, to help inform government decisions and prevent dangers before they reach French borders.
