Dewey

Dewey refers to the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC), a system used in libraries to organize books by subject. It assigns each book a number, called a Dewey Decimal number, which groups similar topics together. For example, books on history might have numbers starting with 900, while science books start with 500. This system helps users find books efficiently by placing them in logical, subject-based locations. Developed by Melvil Dewey in 1876, it remains one of the most widely used library classification methods worldwide.
