It’s often created for aesthetic enjoyment or to communicate ideas. Design, on the other hand, focuses on problem-solving and functional communication. It aims to create practical, effective solutions—like making a website easy to use or a product visually appealing—by combining creativity with purpose. Both fields rely on skill and creativity, but design emphasizes efficiency and user needs, while art emphasizes personal or cultural expression.
