Desert flora
Desert flora refers to plants specially adapted to survive in arid, harsh environments with limited water and high temperatures. These plants often have features such as deep or widespread roots to access groundwater, thick or waxy leaves to reduce water loss, and the ability to store water in their tissues. Examples include cacti, succulents, and drought-tolerant shrubs. Their adaptations enable them to endure extreme conditions where many other plants would perish. Despite the challenging environment, desert flora plays a vital role in stabilizing ecosystems, providing food and habitat for desert wildlife.
