Dermatofibroma

Dermatofibroma is a common, benign skin growth that appears as small, firm, bump-like spots usually ranging from a few millimeters to a centimeter in size. They commonly occur on the legs or arms and may feel gritty or hard when touched. These growths often have a slightly raised, brown or darker appearance and may become scar-like over time. Dermatofibromas are harmless, typically painless, and do not require treatment unless they cause discomfort or cosmetic concern. They arise from an overgrowth of fibrous tissue, often following minor skin injuries or insect bites.
