Depth Map

A depth map is a visual representation that shows the distance between objects in a scene and the viewer or camera. It uses shades of gray or color to indicate how far away things are: closer objects might appear lighter, while farther objects are darker. Depth maps are used in various applications such as 3D modeling, virtual reality, and image processing to help computers understand spatial relationships, create realistic environments, or enable effects like background blurring. Essentially, it's a map that highlights how far or near different parts of an image are, adding a sense of depth and dimension.
