dental anatomy
Dental anatomy refers to the structure and organization of teeth within the mouth. Humans typically have 32 adult teeth, including incisors (cutting), canines (tearing), premolars, and molars (chewing). Each tooth has a crown (visible part), a root (anchored in the jaw), and a neck connecting them. Inside, the pulp contains nerves and blood vessels. The surface of teeth is covered with enamel, the hardest substance in the body, protecting the underlying dentin and pulp. Proper understanding of dental anatomy helps in maintaining oral health, diagnosing issues, and effective treatment planning.
