A dense subgraph is a small, tightly interconnected part of a larger network. Imagine a social network where people are connected if they know each other. A dense subgraph would be a group where everyone knows most or all of the others in that group, forming a closely-knit circle. In essence, it’s a subset of nodes in a graph where the connections between them are numerous, making the group highly interconnected.
