Dengue Fever Dermatological Aspects

Dengue fever can cause various skin-related symptoms due to the body's immune response to the virus. Common dermatological aspects include a rash that often appears a few days after fever onset. This rash may be red and spotty, resembling measles, and can sometimes lead to bleeding under the skin, known as petechiae. In more severe cases, the skin may become itchy, or develop lesions. While not everyone with dengue experiences these symptoms, they can provide important clues for diagnosis and indicate the need for medical attention.
