Deming Circle (PDCA)
The Deming Circle, or PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act), is a continuous improvement cycle used in organizations. It starts with planning a change or solution to a problem. Then, you implement that plan (do). Next, you evaluate the results to see if the change made a positive difference (check). Finally, you act based on what you've learned—either standardizing the successful change or adjusting and testing again. This iterative process helps organizations improve processes systematically and sustainably, fostering ongoing quality and efficiency improvements.
