
Delta-V (rocket propulsion)
Delta-V (ΔV) in rocket propulsion measures the change in velocity a spacecraft can achieve after its fuel burns. It reflects the amount of "speed" the rocket can gain to reach its destination or perform maneuvers. Think of it as the vehicle's ability to accelerate, decelerate, or alter its path. The more delta-V a rocket has, the farther and more complex its missions can be. It depends on the rocket's engine efficiency and the amount of fuel carried; more fuel or better engines provide higher delta-V, enabling greater mission flexibility.
