Delta baryon
A Delta baryon is a subatomic particle made up of three quarks, which are fundamental building blocks of matter. It belongs to the family of particles known as baryons, like protons and neutrons, but Delta baryons are heavier and less stable. They exist briefly in high-energy environments such as inside atomic nuclei or during particle collisions. Delta baryons come in different types (charges) depending on the combination of their quarks, and they play a role in understanding the strong nuclear force that binds atomic nuclei together.
