Delphic Sibyl

The Delphic Sibyl was a renowned female prophet or oracle associated with the Temple of Apollo at Delphi in ancient Greece. She was believed to have mystical abilities to predict the future and offer divine guidance. The Sibyl's prophecies were often delivered in cryptic or poetic language, and her role was central to religious and civic decision-making. The most famous of these prophetesses, the Cumaean Sibyl, also appears in Roman mythology. The Delphic Sibyl symbolized the seeking of divine wisdom and the human desire to understand the future through sacred means.
