Delaware River Basin Commission

The Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) is a regional organization formed by four states—Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York—and the federal government to manage and protect the Delaware River and its surrounding ecosystem. It oversees water quality, water allocation, and environmental conservation, ensuring the river remains a sustainable resource for drinking water, industry, agriculture, and recreation. By coordinating policies and projects among stakeholders, the DRBC aims to balance developmental needs with environmental health, safeguarding the river’s long-term vitality for communities and ecosystems within the basin.
