Deimos

Deimos is one of Mars's two small moons, known for its irregular shape and dark surface. It measures about 15 kilometers (9 miles) across and orbits Mars at a close distance, completing a full orbit roughly every 30 hours. Deimos is believed to be a captured asteroid, meaning Mars's gravity pulled it into orbit. Its surface is cratered and covered with loose rock and dust, giving it a dusty, gray appearance. Due to its small size and distance from Earth, Deimos appears as a tiny, faint object in telescopes and has limited exploration so far.
