Deformed special relativity

Deformed special relativity (DSR) is an extension of Einstein’s theory that modifies how we understand space and time at very high energies, near the Planck scale. Unlike traditional relativity, which keeps the speed of light constant, DSR suggests that the structure of spacetime might change subtly when energies are extremely high, potentially affecting how particles behave. It aims to reconcile quantum mechanics with gravity by introducing a new "deformation" of the standard relativistic framework, offering insights into the universe’s earliest moments and the nature of quantum spacetime, while still respecting the core idea that the speed of light remains a universal limit.
