Defibrillators

A defibrillator is a medical device that delivers an electric shock to the heart to restore a normal rhythm during sudden cardiac arrest. When the heart's electrical signals become disorganized or too slow, the heart can't pump blood effectively. The defibrillator analyzes the heart's rhythm and, if necessary, safely administers a controlled shock to reset the heart's electrical activity. This sudden intervention can be lifesaving and is often used in emergencies by trained responders or through automated external defibrillators (AEDs) for laypersons.
