deep-water drilling
Deep-water drilling involves extracting oil and gas from beneath the ocean floor in locations far from the coast, where the water is very deep. Specialized drilling rigs, often floating or semi-submersible platforms, use heavy-duty equipment to bore through layers of earth and rock under the seabed. Advanced techniques ensure safety and minimize environmental impact. Once the drill reaches the resource, pipes are inserted to bring the oil or gas to the surface for processing and transportation. This process enables the extraction of valuable energy resources from areas inaccessible by traditional drilling methods.
